Mr. Driscoll has represented banks and other financial institutions since the start of his law practice in
1977. The representation has been for small and large financial institutions, as well as foreign
financial concerns. Trial experience includes suits involving notes, guaranties, security agreements,
letters of credit, extensions of credit, currency trading, lost deposits, bankers’ blanket bonds,
usury and lender liability. He regularly counsels financial institutions on operational matters.
Firm Clients include Unity National Bank, the only bank in the State of Texas owned and managed
by African-Americans. During Mr. Driscoll’s representation, the Bank has grown its capital base and
earnings. The Driscoll Law Firm has represented Small Business Loan Source in contested matters, and
also represents General Electric Capital Assurance.
Mr. Driscoll is a member of the Texas Association of Bank Counsel.

The Driscoll Law Firm represents a number of insurance companies in the area of life, health
and disability. Mr. Driscoll has defended multiple suits on life, health and disability insurance
policies including ERISA liability. He has handled claims with respect to insurance treaties. The
Firm also represents auto warranty companies.
Mr. Driscoll regularly advises and counsels with the claims department of a large
third-party administrator.
Insurance clients include Combined Insurance Company of America, Kansas City Life Insurance Company,
Resource Life Insurance Company and Union Fidelity Life Insurance Company.
Mr. Driscoll successfully defended an ERISA case in which the Claimant claimed disability because of
migraine headaches. The claim was settled for less than 15% of the amount of the exposure.
A suit involving an alleged accidental death was successfully defended with resolution for less
than the cost of litigation.
Mr. Driscoll is a member of the Defense Research Institute and its Life, Health and Disability committee.

The practice includes all aspects of commercial real estate including real estate development,
brokerage, earnest money contracts, architectural and construction contracts, and leases.
Mr. Driscoll’s Clients include Decker Oaks Development Co. II, Ltd., Holman Street Baptist Church,
and the South East Community Development Corporation.
Current litigation involves a disputed earnest money contract.
Mr. Driscoll has recently negotiated contracts with national home builders for the sale of development
lots. He is now representing a developer in negotiations with a municipality for platting of a large
subdivision, and attendant issues such as drainage.
